Viviana is a civil engineer and structural designer deeply attached to her home island of Sardinia. Her passion for engineering, attention to the existing heritage of buildings, and the culture of preserving beauty were passed down to her by her father. These interests led her to Bologna, where she graduated in Civil Engineering in 2011, with a thesis on seismic safety in historic masonry buildings. She began working as a technical consultant for her family’s construction company in 2012. In 2014, she joined the structures and research and development teams at Open Project.
