Alma - Ex Caserma Perotti
Alma is an open urban ecosystem that weaves together architecture, landscape, environmental and social sustainability, transforming the former Perotti Barracks into a neighborhood founded on proximity and social mix.
Alma regenerates a place long impermeable to external relationships, returning it to the city as a model of coexistence and well-being: the barracks become material for the future city, spaces open up, and greenery expands.
Integrated into the neighborhood, Alma extends the network of services with residences and student housing, shared spaces and study rooms, community hubs, local shops, and facilities for sports activities.
At its heart, a large park filters, cools, and hosts collective functions within a connected and permeable landscape—a green lung that helps address the challenges of climate change.
The project reduces consumption and environmental impacts through bioclimatic design, the use of renewable energy, rainwater harvesting and reuse, low-carbon materials, and performance monitoring. LEED and CasaClima certifications, together with the LCA approach, ensure measurable results. At the same time, the participatory process and the creation of green jobs strengthen social bonds, reinforcing the coherence between vision and implementation.
Alma stands for continuity, inclusion, and a shared future: a new way of living the city.
