ALMA, Open Project’s project for the regeneration of the former Perotti Barracks in Bologna, was the focus of Francesco Conserva’s presentation during the Reinventing Cities | Bologna and the Sustainable Redevelopment of State-Owned Properties event, held on Tuesday, 8 September.
Winner of the international Reinventing Cities competition, ALMA proposes the transformation of the former military site into a new open and permeable urban district, where housing, services, shared spaces and landscape create new relationships with the surrounding urban fabric. A system of green and collective spaces structures the project and interprets regeneration as an opportunity to reconnect a previously isolated site with the city, with particular attention to environmental and social sustainability.
